     I have been making artistic and functional items on a wood lathe since 1983 and creating scroll saw art since 1991. About 5 years ago I decided to combine the two and have been getting a great response. I am a retired Firefighter and make artistic “one-of-a-kind” items. I focus on utilizing reclaimed hardwoods, keeping it out of the landfill and putting it to a better use. I cut the wood into slabs with my chainsaw then turn on lathe or leave natural. I match a pattern with the wood grain creating a unique piece of art. I have been a member of American Association of Woodturners (AAW http://www.woodturner.org) since 1992.
